The basis of a good software are the requirements. These must be carefully collected and thought through together, if necessary in several stages. Requirements must be handed over from the business analysts / product owners to the development department. The time invested in this process saves from later surprises and allows the discovery of hidden requirements, because the team is smarter than the individual.

To achieve this, real competence must be transferred to the individual teams. This must be respected by individuals. This requires humility. Each individual is important. Leaders make it possible to work as unobstructed as possible.

Mistakes happen and have to be eliminated by a high process quality. That is why continuous improvement of the development process and transparency is needed. Error causes must be recognized and eliminated (root cause analysis).

By identifying small achievable business values, regular releases in short intervals and consistent prioritization of features, important ideas are completed earlier.

High quality is ensured through build processes with mandatory code reviews, tests on different functional levels (whitebox, unit, integration and end-to-end tests with measurement of code coverage). Builds that do not meet the quality criteria are discarded.
